Biography
Kaitlyn G. Edmiston was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and has remained local for the majority of her life. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020 from Saint Francis University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Social Justice with a Pre-Law Concentration. Ms. Edmiston received her Juris Doctor from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2023, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her time in law school, she interned at the Blair County Courthouse, the Pennsylvania State Police Office of Chief Counsel, and at Tibbott and Richardson, P.C. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2023. Prior to joining Evey Black Attorneys, Ms. Edmiston worked as an Associate Attorney with Margolis Edelstein, and most recently, as the Staff Attorney at Your Safe Haven, Inc., where she primarily practiced in Family Law related matters. During her time at Your Safe Haven, Inc., Ms. Edmiston served as Vice President of the Bedford County Bar Association and served as a member of the Bedford County Board of Arbitrators and the Bedford County Co-parenting Committee. She plans to become involved in the Blair County Bar Association and associated committees in the near future. Her writing has been published in the Pennsylvania Family Lawyer, the Pennsylvania State Police Communicator, and Spectrum, and she enjoys volunteering with various community organizations. She currently concentrates her practice in Family Law (Custody, Visitation, Divorce, Property Division, Alimony, Child Support and Spousal Support) and under the guidance of the experienced attorneys of Evey Black intends to expand into other areas of the practice of law as well.
